Sniggh ("we", "us", "our") provides a property management platform that enables property managers to list properties, manage tenants, reconcile rent payments, and communicate with tenants.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when providing our services.

1. Roles and Responsibilities

Business clients (property managers, landlords) are the Data Controllers of tenant data.
Sniggh acts as a Data Processor for tenant data and a Data Controller for its own platform users.
We process personal data only for the purposes of providing our services and in accordance with client instructions.

2. Information We Collect

A. Business Clients (Account Owners & Staff)

We collect information necessary to provide and manage business accounts, including:

Full name
Email address
Account and subscription information
Platform usage data (such as logins and actions performed)

Authentication for business accounts is handled through Sniggh's own authentication systems.

B. Platform Users (General Users)

For users accessing the platform via Sniggh's public application (non-business subdomains):

Authentication may be performed using Google OAuth
We collect only:
- Full name
- Email address

No additional Google account data is accessed.

E. Google User Data (OAuth Authentication)

When you choose to sign in with Google, we only access your name and email address from your Google account. We use this information solely to create and manage your Sniggh account. We do not share, sell, or transfer this data to third parties. You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.

C. Tenants (End Users of Our Clients)

We process tenant information on behalf of our business clients, which may include:

Full name
Phone number
Unit or property identifiers
Rent payment status and history
Payment references (e.g. transaction identifiers)

D. Payment-Related Information

Sniggh integrates with banks and mobile money providers to support rent reconciliation by:

Initiating payment requests (e.g. STK Push)
Receiving Instant Payment Notifications (IPNs) from payment providers

Sniggh processes this information solely to update tenant records and payment status. All funds move directly between tenants and landlords or their financial institutions.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal data to:

Provide and operate the Sniggh platform
Reconcile rent payments
Enable listings and tenant management
Deliver announcements and notices to tenants
Provide customer support
Maintain platform security and prevent fraud
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

4. Announcements and Communications

Business clients may use Sniggh to send announcements or notices to tenants.

Sniggh does not access or use message content except:

To deliver communications
To troubleshoot delivery or technical issues

5. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

Payment service providers (for payment notifications)
Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
Communication and notification service providers
Regulatory or legal authorities where required by law

We do not sell personal data.

6. Data Retention

Active accounts: data is retained for the duration of the subscription
After subscription expiry:
- Clients retain access for 30 days
- Data is retained for up to 6 months
- Data is permanently deleted thereafter unless legally required to retain it longer

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:

Encrypted connections
Access controls
Audit logs
Restricted internal access
Secure cloud infrastructure

8. Data Subject Rights

Where applicable, individuals may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data.

Tenant requests should be directed to the property manager, who acts as the Data Controller.

9. International Data Transfers

Data may be stored or processed outside Kenya using providers that implement appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform.
